Chris Rimmer

Chris has served on the Variety WA Board since 2019 and brings extensive experience in insurance litigation, leadership and organisational management. He is a Partner at Sparke Helmore Lawyers, a national firm working across the insurance, government, financial services, technology, mining, construction and property sectors. His earlier career as a partner in a WA-based insurance litigation firm also strengthened his skills in operational decision-making, people management and client leadership.

Chris has developed strong capabilities in governance, negotiation and communication through supervising and mentoring legal practitioners and administration staff throughout his career.

Outside of work, Chris is actively involved in junior football as an assistant coach and is a keen cyclist. Through his long-standing participation in the Hawaiian Ride for Youth, he has gained valuable insight into the mental health challenges and socioeconomic pressures facing young people – reinforcing his commitment to organisations that support children and families in need.
