EduKids provides targeted funding to schools across Western Australia to support students facing barriers to education due to disadvantage, disability or location.
Designed to respond to local needs, the program gives schools the flexibility to provide essential back-to-school items that help children participate fully in their education.
EduKids is a school-based support program that provides funding directly to eligible schools.
Schools use this funding to supply essential items that support students to attend school prepared and ready to learn.
What does the program support?
Funding supports essential back-to-school items that remove barriers to participation.
This may include uniforms, school bags, booklist items, stationery and other everyday supplies that help students feel prepared, included and ready to learn.
How much funding is available?
• Primary schools: up to $1,500 • Secondary schools (including district, remote and Schools of the Air): up to $2,500
Each grant is designed to support multiple students within a school (minimum of 10), ensuring the impact is shared across those who need it most.
Why EduKids matters
For some children, not having the right school supplies can impact confidence, attendance and their ability to participate in everyday learning.
EduKids helps remove this barrier - ensuring students arrive at school prepared, included and ready to learn alongside their peers. By providing essential items at the start of the school year, the program supports stronger engagement, improved attendance and a greater sense of belonging in the classroom.
