Anthony Begley

Anthony has been part of the Variety WA story for more than 30 years and is a Life Member whose contribution spans events, governance and hands-on community fundraising. He first joined the Board in 2010 and has since served across multiple elected and co-opted terms, bringing deep institutional knowledge and a long-standing commitment to Variety’s mission.

Over the years, Anthony has played a pivotal role in shaping Variety’s signature events. He served four years as Bash Boss and spent seven years on the Bashers’ Club Committee, including two years as President. A passionate car enthusiast, Anthony created the Creative Car Cruise – an event he continues to lead today – and has participated in 21 Variety Bashes, multiple 4WD Adventures and Bike Runs.

Professionally, Anthony is Executive Chairman and owner of 89’s The Garage Door Specialists, with operations across Perth, Mandurah and Broome, and Force Rollashutters. A qualified Australian Group 1 Drag Racer, he brings entrepreneurial drive, practical experience and sustained energy to the Board, alongside an enduring passion for supporting children and families across Western Australia.
